How to Undock
1. Prepare and set route while docked.
2. Undock and stop ship by pressing default hot key: Ctrl + Space.
3. Don't interrupt undock invulnerability timer (30 seconds).
4. Start to warp to outbound gate. If applicable, use instant undocking bookmarks.
How to Travel
5. Are there reasons to anticipate smartbombing ships on your outbound gates?
No → Jump from gate to gate until you reach your destination.
Yes → Warp to outbound gates from different angles. If applicable, use bookmarks.
6. Are there reasons to go AFK or provide surveillance?
No → Continue until you reach your destination.
Yes → Cloak at an appropriate safe or surveillance location.
How to Dock
7. Warp to docking perimeter. If applicable, use instant docking bookmarks.
8. Did you land outside the docking perimeter?
No → Dock.
Yes → Activate microwarpdrive to close in. Dock.

In EVE Online time is a valuable resource. Time wasted is time lost, therefore, decreasing everyone's travel time and safety is our top priority with this fitting.
Travel Time
Involved fitting components regarding travel time:
2x Small Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizer II increase warp speed to 12.2 AU/s
3x Inertial Stabilizers II decrease align time to 1.796 seconds
Compared to any standard frigate, this fitting decreases the average travel time of 45 seconds per jump by 33%. This may not sound like much at first, but travel time quickly adds up.
Average travel time per jump compared to any standard frigate:
~ 30 seconds per jump with "M-SB ✈ Hermes"
~ 45 seconds per jump with any standard frigate
Average travel time for 10 jumps compared to any standard frigate:
~ 5.0 minutes for 10 jumps with "M-SB ✈ Hermes"
~ 7.5 minutes for 10 jumps with any standard frigate
Occasionally, that's already 2.5 minutes of you not being in a fight. If you travel back and forth a similar route daily, that's more than 2 hours per month that could have gone into other activities.

To evade fast locking ships you need to be able to enter warp in less than 2 seconds. Our align time of 1.796 seconds provides a buffer for a ping of 203ms.

Sometimes, you'll find yourself outside of docking perimeters or at the wrong side of a gate, have to go AFK in space, or come across surveillance-worthy activities. Your microwarpdrive and cloaking device provide additional flexibility.
Travel Safety against Smartbombing Ships
Involved fitting components for travel safety against smartbombing ships:

Let's confront the resulting average tank of 7'032 EHP with smartbombing battleships:
8x Large [Resistance] Smartbomb II deal 2'400 damage per volley.
8x [Faction] Large [Resistance] Smartbomb deal up to 3'000 damage per volley.
Under perfect conditions - using faction smartbombs - this means:
6'048 EHP / 3'000 = 3x smartbombing battleships required vs. EM resistance
6'509 EHP / 2'704 = 3x smartbombing battleships required vs. thermal resistance
8'870 EHP / 2'502 = 4x smartbombing battleships required vs. kinetic resistance
8'454 EHP / 2'600 = 4x smartbombing battleships required vs. explosive resistance
In reality, it generally takes more than that, since smartbombs aren't always perfectly timed.

Not yet. Over the years, I've never encountered more than 3 smartbombing battleships at once.
Why did you rule out the use of the Dramiel?
The Dramiel isn't immune to interdiction.
Why did you rule out the use of the Leopard?
The Leopard isn't immune to interdiction.
The Leopard is vulnerable to smartbombing ships.
Why did you rule out the use of other interceptors?
Other interceptors provide an unsatisfying buffer in regards of align time, e.g. the popular Raptor's align time of 1.956 seconds provides a buffer for a ping of 43ms only.
Why did you rule out the use of covert ops travelers?
All but one nullified covert ops traveler is able to enter warp in less than 2 seconds. All others rely on their cloaking devices which can't be activated by outlaws in high security space.
Alexander, are there ways to counter smartbombing ships?
The only nullified covert ops traveler able to enter warp in less than 2 seconds is the 1B ISK Victorieux Luxury Yacht. Its entire use case is to counter smartbombing ships.
